Jessica Simpson will name her baby exactly what it looks like

Jessica Simpson says she's already come up with a name for her mahoosive unborn baby girl, but we can't say we're too hot on the choice.

The singer and her husband, NFL star Eric Johnson, seem to be taking the idea of naming a baby after what it looks like a bit literally, because they've decided on 'Maxi'.

If you haven't seen Jessica's gargantuan bump by now - firstly, we don't know how you managed it considering she's been up the duff for what seems like an eternity and secondly, it's huge. Really huge. Cast-a-shadow-like-a-solar-eclipse-huge.

Thirty-one-year-old Jessica is due to give birth on April 20th and if its true that unborn babies can really hear what's going on outside, we're sure she'll be praying mum and dad actually go with Maxi.

This is because Jessica and Eric bandied all sorts of names about and at one stage they were hovering over 'Zinfandel'. That's right, the wine. Based on a variety of red grape planted in over 10 percent of California vineyards, but a bottle of booze all the same.

To be fair to Jessica, we haven't had a wine-based name for a while (Chardonnay off Footballers' Wives circa 2002 anyone?)

Anyway, Jessica and Eric sensibly shelved Zinfandel and have moved on to Maxi, short for Maxwell, Eric's grandma's maiden name. A friend of the pair says: Jessica wanted a name with meaning.

Most of the fun of having a new celeb baby on the way is guessing what mental concoction of letters the poor little famous soul will end up with.
