Jessica Simpson 'ready to pop'

Jessica Simpson is 'ready to pop' out her baby.

The country singer is almost eight months pregnant with her first daughter with fianc Eric Johnson, and although she still has a month of gestation left to go, Jessica's 'Fashion Star' co-mentor John Varvatos has claimed she seems close to birth.

He said: 'She's definitely ready to pop! I think she's going to be amazing. She's the sweetest, kind of down to earth, all-American girl.'

John added Jessica - who recently confirmed she has a name prepared for her forthcoming daughter and is having it embroidered onto baby goods - is 'all about family' and thinks the child will only add to her life.

According to UsMagazine.com, he said: 'Jessica is a family girl. She's never anywhere without her mother, and her dad's with her all the time. For her, it's really all about the family.

'I think what's so amazing about her becoming a mother is that I think it's kind of finishing off that other missing piece in her family.'

Jessica recently revealed she knew she was pregnant when she felt guilty ahead of a planned drinking session.

She said: 'We were going to have an all-day drinking binge. Going to ride our bikes, hang out ... do naughty things. But I started feeling this overwhelming guilt. Why would I feel guilt at the idea of going out and having cocktails with my friends?'
