Jessica Simpson was snapped shopping in Beverly Hills, heavily pregnant and sporting massive platform heels. As a chap, Im unable to debate the finer points of Simpsons choice of footwear here but this is not recommended, right?

The singer and an assistant were seen stopping by Saks Fifth Avenue for a few goodies, before they headed on their way. Simpson was dressed in a flowing ankle-length dress that matched her heels.

In other Jessica-Simpson-is-hella-pregnant news, it emerged recently that Simpson had hired a specialist chef to ensure she doesnt pile on too many pounds during and after her pregnancy. Said one insider:

She hired one to help her cut calories and make sure shes eating the right foods.

The star is apparently concerned about her weight gain In Touch magazine previously reported that Simpson has put on 30 pounds thanks to a chips and guacamole addiction during pregnancy. At this rate, she could wind up gaining 70 pounds before she gives birth,! bitched a source to the mag.

This is the 31-year-olds first child, which she is expecting with fianc Eric Johnson. Simpson and former NFL player Johnson began dating in May 2010, and were engaged six short months later. Simpson confirmed on October 31, 2011 that she was expecting their first child, and that seems to be due soon!
