Jessica Simpson celebrates baby shower

Jessica Simpson says her recent baby shower was like a 'perfect dream'.

The singer-and-actress is expecting her first child, a little girl, with fiance Eric Johnson, and admits she was overwhelmed by the party thrown in her honour on Sunday (18.03.12).

She tweeted: 'All day yesterday felt like a perfect dream! Thank you @MindyWeiss for the best baby shower any mommy could ever want! Love u! (sic)'

Actress Jessica Alba and Jessica's little sister Ashlee attended the bash, which was organised by celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss.

Jessica dressed prettily in a light blue dress with her hair down and soft braids around her face.

A source said: 'Jessica looked pretty and very happy,' while a second added: 'She's so excited to be a mom. She can't wait to meet her little girl.'

It has been reported Jessica and Eric are to call their daughter, Maxwell, after debating on names for months.

A source said: 'They tossed around a lot of names, including some wacky ones like Zinfandel, but couldn't agree on anything.

'They're going to call her Maxwell, Maxi for short. Maxwell is Eric's middle name, and also his beloved grandma's maiden name. Jessica wanted a name with meaning.'
