Jessica Simpson celebrates her pregnancy with a baby shower

Jessica Simpson celebrated her pregnancy with 50 of her friends in a star-studded baby shower on Sunday afternoon.

The singer/actress is ready to give birth any day now to a baby girl with fianc Eric Johnson. The shower was a pretty-in-pink themed event. The guest list included the likes of Ellen Pompeo, Jessica Alba, and of course, her sister Ashlee Simpson. The event, which was child-friendly, included the pitter patter of children including Jessica Albas 7 month old daughter Haven and her nephew Bronx, 3 years old.

US Magazine reports that the star, received tons of gifts mostly wrapped in pink gift wrap and boxes," adds the source. "There were several books, stuffed toys and clothes among other items."

Although normally a surprise, according to Monsters and Critics, Jessica actually threw the shower for herself with the help of event planner Mindy Weiss. A source close to the star notes that, Jessica looked pretty and very happyShe's so excited to be a mom. She can't wait to meet her little girl."

Simpson recently posed for the cover of Elle magazine naked, showing off her pregnant belly. Simpson talked about her pregnancy, according to People, stating that doctors state that a 10 pound baby may be on the way.

Simpson is expected to give birth in the Spring, which could be any day now!
