Considering the fact that Jessica Simpson looks like she is ready to pop, it is not unusual that the fashion designer opted for a more comfortable shoe option on Thursday.

The mom-to-be tweeted a photo with the caption, We are loving Lagunaand yes, Im wearing flip flops!

The picture shows Simpson dressed in a comfy black maxi dress and an oversized grey cardigan overlooking Lagunas beautiful scenery. Although the 31-year-olds sizeable baby bump is hard to miss, her shoe choice is the real focal point in this image.

Known for wearing sky-high platforms, the Fashion Star judge ditched her killer shoe collection for the day and chose comfort. Simpsons golden surfer girl waves helped to complete her overall relaxed and beachy look.

Simpson was visiting Laguna Beach, Calif. with her fianc Eric Johnson. Following their engagement in 2010, the two announced they are expecting their first child together.

Besides preparing for motherhood, Simpson has surely been keeping busy within the fashion world.

Her upcoming reality show Fashion Star airs March 13 on NBC. Each week, Simpson will judge aspiring clothing designers alongside Nicole Richie and John Varvatos.
