Jessica Simpson to launch maternity line for 'modern mom-to-be'

Jessica Simpson has announced her latest fashion collection.

Simpson, who welcomed her first child on May 1, will be launching a maternity line called Jessica Simpson Maternity, according to People Stylewatch.

The new line is for a "modern mum-to-be who wants to maintain her fashion edge throughout her pregnancy". It will include everyday pieces like maxi dresses, printed tops, knits, sweaters, blazers, jackets and denims.

Jessica Simpson Maternity will be sold at Destination Maternity, Motherhood Maternity and Macy's stores in the US starting this autumn.

After giving birth to her baby girl, Simpson expressed her excitement at becoming a parent on her Twitter.

"Motherhood is by far the best thing I've ever experienced," she posted.
