Jessica Simpson's Dad Joe Says New Granddaughter Is a 'Miracle'

The well wishes are pouring in for Jessica Simpson and her fianc, Eric Johnson, who welcomed their first daughter, Maxwell Drew, Tuesday.

"Proud PaPaJoe !! Beautiful baby girl... What a miracle!" excited grandfather Joe Simpson Tweeted Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Jessica's sister, Ashlee, told PEOPLE she's already "in love" with her niece. "Jessica has wanted to be a mom since we were little girls and I couldn't be more excited for her and Eric," she said.

Fellow mom-to-be Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi also had words of encouragement.

"Congrats to @JessicaSimpson for having a beautiful baby!!! So exciting!" she Tweeted.

And Ellen DeGeneres Tweeted: ". @JessicaSimpson had a baby girl! Welcome to the world, Maxwell Drew! I guess she's naming her second baby Ellen."

And, though her baby's name may seem a bit uncommon, Simpson's daughter shares the name with another celebrity tot. In January, actress Lindsay Sloane gave birth to a baby girl, whom she also named Maxwell.
