Jessica Simpson loves baby Maxwell

The former pop star welcomed baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson in Los Angeles on May 1. Her marathon pregnancy finally ended at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Little Maxwell weighed in at a hefty 9 lbs., 13 oz.

Simpson and her fianc Eric Johnson are over the moon with their new baby girl, but not all has gone smoothly. With a fashion empire grossing $1 billion a year and a role on Fashion Star, she is feeling the pressure to return to work.

Johnson wants his wife to stay home and enjoy motherhood. He wants Jessica to take a break, but thats not in the cards for this fashionista.
Simpson told okmagazine.com that she has a lot on her plate.

The skys the limit, Jessica said. Even with music and acting and being a mom and anything else that I want to do, I know that I can do it. Life is definitely always about expanding. Thats how we grow.

Now that her dream of motherhood has come true, it will be interesting to see if Simpson will maintain her busy lifestyle.

Being a new mom will be difficult, but it looks like Simpson is settling into her new routine just fine. Sources close to the starlet say she was born to be a mom. Johnson is embracing fatherhood and even lending a hand during diaper duty!
