Jessica Simpson's Mother 'Waiting Until After Divorce To Open Clothing Store'

Jessica Simpson's mother is waiting until she has divorced her husband to open a clothes shop in a bid to stop him taking the business, according to a report.

Tina Simpson, 52, is in the process of separating from husband Joe and she reportedly fears he will win control of the venture if she starts it up before they reach a settlement.

The Simpson family matriarch hopes to open the retail outlet and will feature daughter Jessica's fashion range when she does.

A source told RadarOnline: Tina was looking for ways of expanding the Jessica Simpson Collection and one of her suggestions was launching a store.

The brand is hugely popular now, so she's confident that by opening a shop with all of Jessica's designs that will take the label one step further.

But the problem is she's hugely concerned about doing anything with the fashion house if, worst case scenario, Joe wins control over it in their eventual divorce settlement.

Jessica is also said to have fallen out with her manager father after he allegedly became involved in a year-long gay affair and her mother Tina is said to want to continue looking after Jessica's fashion affairs.

The source said: Tina has worked incredibly hard with Jessica in moulding the label. It was her baby and had nothing to do with Joe.

She doesn't want to take any chances though and is thinking long and hard about the idea.
