Jessica Simpson's Father Joe Gets Probation Sentence For DUI Amid Divorce From Wife Tina

Jessica Simpsons father Joe Simpson has been sentenced to three years probation after a recent DUI arrest.

Jessicas dad was arrested in August when he was found to be driving after allegedly consuming several glasses of wine earlier in the night.

People reported that in a court hearing held on Tuesday (November 13), Joe entered a plea to one misdemeanour count, with a second being dismissed by a Los Angeles judge.

Joe Simpson is also currently in the process of separating from his wife Tina Simpson, who filed for divorce in October.

According to court papers, the 52-year-old wife and mother of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson reported discord or conflict of personalities.

There have also been some reports that suggest the catalyst for the divorce might have been Joe Simpson allegedly coming out as gay to his family.
