Jessica Simpson is having a hard time dealing with the negative comments that have been made over her baby weight.

The 'I Belong To Me' hitmaker gave birth to her baby daughter Maxwell earlier in the year and has since shed 40lbs; however, sources close to the new mum have revealed that Jessica is feeling sensitive over the endless comments made about her weight.

"For years, Jessica has been okay with her body and everyone loved her for that," a source explained to Breaking News.ie.

"But now she's not feeling the love and she doesn't like it. "She's trying to conceal her hurt feelings with humour right now. She uses jokes and goofiness to hide the fact that she's really sensitive."

Jessica, who has signed a $4 million spokespersons deal with Weight Watchers, revealed in a recent interview that she was shocked to find out her baby weight wouldn't automatically shift once she give birth.
