Jessica Simpson's Dad pleads Not Guilty

Jessica Simpson has a lot to celebrate right now and father Joe Simpson claims hes an innocent man concerning an alleged DUI. Papa Joe plead not guilty on Thursday to a suspected DUI back on August 4th.

E! reports that Joe was arrested in Sherman Oaks, California near the Simpson estate. He was pulled over in his car by a police officer. The officer accused Joe of drinking and driving and proceeded to arrest him. Joe was charged with driving while under the influence and above the blood alcohol limit which is 0.08%. Simpson posted a $5,000 bail and was released the next morning.

Simpsons attorney was present for him at the court date and entered a not guilty plea for Joe.

Joe is maintaining his innocence by entering this plea and is striving to maintain his perfect dad/manager image.

According to Yahoo!, Joes next court date is October 11th at the Van Nuys City Hall.

If Joe Simpson is convicted in this DUI case he could face up to six month in jail.
