Jessica Simpsons Dad Joe Simpson Has 20-Year-Old Boyfriend, Source Alleges

Jessica Simpsons dad Joe Simpson, a baptist minister who gave Jess a purity ring when she was 12, is embroiled in a new scandal after a report emerged that the recently-single Texas showbiz dad is having a gay fling with a 20-year-old boy toy.

Joe Simpson is dad to Ashlee as well as Jessica Simpson, and is also newly divorced after nearly four decades of marriage to wife Tina. The divorce was enough of a surprise in the (at least formerly) conservative, religious family but according to RadarOnline, Jessicas dad Joe recently came out of the closet as gay.

The online report about the gay rumors stems from theNational Enquirer, which summarily received the scoop on allegations that Jessica Simpsons dad Joe has a boyfriend from an unnamed insider.

The site quotes the insider about Joe Simpsons alleged gay fling, saying:

Joe got the family together about two months ago and came out of the closet He told them that hed tried to continue in his marriage to Tina, but he couldnt go on any longer and deny the fact that he had these feelings for men Joe said it wasnt fair to her, and it wasnt fair to him.

Joe Si! mpson and wife Tina filed for divorce in Texas on September 24, and the pair citeddiscord or conflict of personalities as their grounds for divorce.

In August, Joe Simpson was arrested for a DUI in Texas, and now an insider says that on that night, he may have been with his alleged male companion:

The police report stated that there was someone else in the car with Joe Some reports have stated it was Tina, but now the belief is that it may well have been a boyfriend.
