Jessica Simpson can definitely relate to Kim Kardashians current situation.

Kim has recently come under fire for filing for divorce from husband Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage.

Jessica also went through a very public divorce from Nick Lachey, which was finalised in 2006. The blonde star who had her own reality TV show with her ex-husband - knows how difficult living in the public eye can be.

Yeah, I can definitely relate to her situation. I understand all eyes being on you when you show off your world, she told Closer magazine.

Youre kind of an open book for everyone to look at. Its a very difficult thing to go through publicly when you dont really want to share something so personal and emotional. So there has to be a balance.

I definitely feel like those days, for me, are over.

Jessica is currently pregnant with her first child. The star and fianc Eric Johnson have put their wedding plans on the back-burner while preparing for their new arrival.

Were not getting married first. We were talking about a wedding and just throwing something together, but Id rather put more time into it and be able to really enjoy the day, she explained.
