Jessica Simpson disobeys doctor's orders to ditch heels

Jessica Simpson's obstetrician is nonplussed that the pregnant singer is teetering about in ultra high heels. But Simpson insists that she'll be "delivering in these."

"I went to the doctor yesterday and he said, 'You're gonna need to get out of those heels!'" Simpson recounted to Us Weekly. "I was like, 'Excuse me! I'll be delivering in these heels!'"

Simpson referred to her four-inch YSL stilettos. She was most recently photographed in a pair of gold sandals with a high platform.

The accessories and apparel mogul isn't letting her baby bump dissuade her from wearing tight-fitted clothing, either.

"I like wearing things more fitted," Simpson explained. "You want to show off your bump! It's just so fun. You don't want to wear muumuus so you can moo around town."

While Simpson says she has is "definitely bigger than I've ever been," she also says that she feels more tuned in to her body than ever.

"I can imagine my tummy glowing," she squealed. "I'm already like the cheesy mom that my kids are embarrassed by."

If Simpson's doctor took issue with her shoe choice, chances are he would also object to Beyonc's heels. She too is testing the limits of pregnancy footwear a! nd was r ecently photographed in an extreme pair of Christian Louboutin leopard print platform booties with a high, sharp stiletto close to five inches tall.
