Jessica Simpson Allegedly Pregnant with Baby #2 Proof it May Have Been Planned

Pop princess and fashion mogul Jessica Simpson is allegedly pregnant with her second child. She and her fiance, former NFL player Eric Johnson just welcomed baby Maxwell in May 2012. Us Weekly purports that the pregnancy was unplanned. But for some reason, we get the feeling that this baby "surprise" wasn't as unexpected as she'd have us believe.

Eric may have cheated on Jessica.

In October 2012, rumors began swirling that Eric Johnson had cheated on Simpson with his ex-wife, Keri. Some sources maintained that he wasn't completely over his ex, and was merely hanging onto Jessica because of her status in Hollywood and growing empire. There may be multiple sides to this story. But if a grain of truth can be found, having a second child might ensure that Eric sticks around.

No wedding date has yet been set.

The two became engaged in 2010, and for the most part have seemed pretty happy as a couple. But after several months, fans wondered why no wedding plans had been put into place. Like reality star Kim Zolciak Jessica, had reportedly wanted an 11/11/11 wedding date. But she decided to wait until after Maxwell was born, instead. Now, in light of this fiasco surrounding her parents' divorce, she's put off the wedding once again. The delay could be the result of an ironic sense of bad timing. But if Jessica is pregnant again, there's no telling when she and Eric will actually walk down the aisle.

Keeping up with the exes

There may be another reason why Jessica is happy to have a second child so soon. Not only have both her exes Nick Lachey and Tony Romo moved on and married other people. But they also have already welcomed their first children: Nick and his wife Vanessa Minnillo had a baby boy in September 2012. Romo and spouse, Candace Crawford had their first son earlier in April. Following her divorce from Lachey, Jessica didn't exactly have the best luck in romance. Having a second child with Eric Johnson could provide a strange sense of redemption.

What about her Weight Watchers contract?

The pop singer's first pregnancy (which to some, seemed to last forever) became one of Hollywood's most popular trending topics, mainly because of Simpson's excessive weight gain. Weight Watchers paid her a hefty sum to shed those infamous 60-plus pounds she gained while pregnant. Would a second pre! gnancy gu! arantee the new mom another lucrative contract? We'll have to wait and see
