Jessica Simpson's dad arrested for DUI

Jessica Simpsons father, Joe, was arrested for driving while intoxicated last Saturday.

The 54-year-old manager was found on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, California and handcuffed. Cops suspected he was drunk and placed him under arrest. He was taken to jail where he spent the night.

This was Joes first serious run-in with the law and he was released after posting $5,000 bail. Joe could be faced with a big fine and his case hasnt been seen yet at the City Attorneys Office in Los Angeles.

The Simpson family has been in the media recently due to the birth of Jessicas daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson. Maxwell is her first child with fianc Eric Johnson.

Joe Simpson was over the moon with the birth of another grandchild, saying the birth was a miracle. He declared Jessica was born to be a mother.

However, Joe hasnt always been appropriate when it comes to representing his family.

In 2004, he commented on the size of Jessicas breasts, saying, Shes got double Ds! You cant cover those suckers up!
