Jessica Simpson is expecting her first child, a baby girl, this spring. Simpson has become the talk of many, though, because she is sporting a very big bump.
Simpsons pregnancy weight gain was recently criticized on The View by Joy Behar, who called her fat.
"Remember the time that Jessica Simpson was criticized because she didn't know the difference between chicken and tuna? That kind of thing is more fun to criticize than the fact that the girl is fat," Behar said. "Most women who are pregnant are not supposed to gain more than 25 pounds. She looks like she gained a lot more than that."
Tori Spelling, who recently announced she is expecting her fourth child, has come to the Fashion Star mentors defense, saying lay off.
"When women are pregnant, people need to lay off," Spelling told Celebuzz. "It's a really special time and you should be able to deal with it in your own terms."
Every body is different. As far [as] weight, you never know what is going to happen, she added. You cant control what angle people are snapping your photo from.
Her advice to Simpson is to wear it proud and go with it.
Simpson has said shes expected to give birth to a baby bigger than 8 pounds. She also has said a lot of amniotic fluid is causing her big belly. She acknowledged Behars fat comment via tweet on Thursday.
