Jessica Simpson, Hilary Duff and Beyonces maternity style: the tighter the better

For pregnant celebrities like Jessica Simpson, Hilary Duff and Beyonce Knowles, first-time pregnancy has become an exciting time, especially fashionably. Though they concealed their bumps until they were ready to make the big reveal, they have no intentions of trying to hide it anymore, although, it would be hard to do at this point.

Jessica Simpson, who kept many guessing and speculating about a baby by wearing loose-fitting clothes and staying mum for the beginning months of her pregnancy, announced the news on Halloween. Now the 31-year-old Fashion Star mentor doesnt want to do anything else but show it off.

At the Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York City on Tuesday, Simpson was honored for her Jessica Simpson brand. On the red carpet, the singer, actress, and designer, who was accompanied by her fianc, Eric Johnson, had many talking because of her prominent baby bump which was accented by a tight-fitting red dress.

"I like wearing things more fitted, she told Us Weekly of her maternity fashion choices. "You want to show off your bump! It's just so fun. You don't want to wear muumuus so you can moo around town."

Jessica Simpson isnt the only pregnant celebrity that has adopted the idea of tighter is better, so has Hilary Duff.

At an event last month for the launch of The Beauty Book For Brain Cancer, the 24-year-old former Disney star told Us Weekly that its! better to wear tighter things when pregnant.

"In the beginning [of my pregnancy] I was thinking, I'm going to wear really loose things, because you don't really look pregnant at first -- you just feel a little bigger than your normal self," Duff said at the time. Now that you start to show I think it's better to wear tighter things, but it's kind of a challenge to find things!"

In September, a now very pregnant Beyonce said that her baby bump reveal this past summer at the VMAs made it so much fun to shop for maternity clothes. She was also inspired by her pregnancy to create a maternity line to make pregnancy sexier.

"It's been so exciting for me! she told Harpers Bazaar at the time. I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant.

All three superstars agree that along with not sacrificing sexy, they all still wont sacrifice another fashion stable: the stiletto.

"I'm probably going to deliver my baby in [4-inch YSL heels]," Simpson joked. "I went to the doctor yesterday and he said, 'You're gonna need to get out of those heels!' I was like, 'Excuse me! I'll be delivering in these heels!'"

Jessica Simpson and Hilary Duff are due to give birth in the spring. Beyonce is keeping mum on her due date. Rumors are now swirling that Beyonce is not due in February, as initially reported, but in December.
