The singer and fashion designer had recently refused to confirm her pregnancy to the media, waiting to secure a magazine deal from one of the weeklies for the eventual baby photos. The Simpsons were rumored to have been asking for up to $500,000 for the deal, reported The New York Posts Page Six column.
Thirty-one-year-old Simpson was seen recently attending a baby shower with other family members at the Ivy restaurant in Santa Monica. A close friend of Simpson told OK magazine Jessica is so excited, and claimed the pop star has been slowly telling her friends and family the news of her and fiance NFL player Eric Johnsons baby to come.
The close friend also told OK magazine She [Simpson] joked, Well, now I can eat anything I want and no one will care. It's just sort of a rule with pregnant women.' But it was typical Jessica that she was making a joke of it."
Life and Style magazine has also claimed that Simpson and Johnson will be having a girl and are set to marry on November 11 in Hawaii.
