Pregnant Jessica Simpson takes daughter Maxwell for a day out, uses her to distract from growing baby bump

There are all sorts of ways to distract the paps from focusing in on a baby bump.

And we must say, Jessica Simpson wins first prize for the most inventive.

Rather than donning baggy clothes or holding a giant designer handbag in front of her growing bump, Jess instead used her baby daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson.

That is a genius move- especially when she looks so darn cute.

The 32-year-old singer was out for the day with her daughter, enjoying the sunny weather and grabbing a bite to eat at posh restaurant Don Cuco, LA.

Casually dressed in a large green overcoat, black t-shit and leggings, Jess looked at ease carrying 9-month-old Maxwell.

She teamed the outfit with an over sized some sunglasses and and a pair of comfy black trainers.

Maxwell looked adorable dressed in polka dot leggings and a beige knitted cardigan.

Jessica Simpson announced she was pregnant at the end of last November, just six months after giving birth to baby Maxwell.

Before announcing her second pregnancy, Jessica signed a $4 million deal to become the face of Weight Watchers.

Following the deal, Jessica shed an impressive 60lbs after gaining 70lbs due to her first pregnancy.
