Jessica Simpson's pregnancy weight defended by Kendra Wilkinson

Jessica Simpson's pregnancy weight was defended by former Playmate Kendra Wilkinson, who said the singer's first priority is her baby, not her weight.

Wilkinson, who appeared on "The Girls Next Door," struggled to lose the 60 pounds she gained while pregnant with her 2-year-old son Hank IV and told Yahoo! that the pressure Simpson has endured breaks her heart.

"I feel for her. I was in the same boat. People just need to mind their own business," Wilkinson told the OMG! entertainment site. "That's a woman who just gave birth. Her first priority right now is her child. Her first priority is not losing the weight."

"You should be proud of her for that," Wilkinson continued. "A lot of people just dump their kids off at nannies and lose the weight overnight. We should all be proud of her for being real and taking control and making priorities."

Simpson, who welcomed her first child on May 1, signed a multi-million dollar deal with Weight Watchers to be the weight loss program's newest spokes model. She has been spotted several times over the past months working out with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, but recently denied that she is being pushed to drop the pounds.

The new mom Tweeted on June 27, "Just so everyone knows...Weight Watchers hasn't put ANY pressure on me! I'm trying to be as healthy as I can be for myself and I feel great!"

Earlier in the week, Simpson wished fans a happy 4th of July and shared a family portrait featuring her fiance Eric Johnson and baby daughter Maxwell Drew. In the photo, the new family is shown in front of some Independence Day fireworks.
