Jessica Simpson is ready for baby

Jessica Simpson cant wait to meet her son.

The mother of Maxwell Drew recently celebrated her second baby shower with family and friends in Los Angeles. She cant wait to dress up her little man.

Im so excited to have a son, she told People magazine. He got all these cute vintage cars and I got a lot of little leather jackets I cant wait to try out!

Big sister Maxwell stole the show and played with her little brothers presents.

Fiance Eric Johnson later joined the party hosted by Jessicas mom, Tina Simpson.

The menu included plenty of treats for the kids, as well as Jessicas Southern favorites like fried chicken.

Jessica made headlines last year when she was pregnant with Maxwell due to her rapid weight gain. This time, shes more active, Hollywood Life reports.

This pregnancy, Im active, she said. "Ive only gained half of what I gained in my first pregnancy.

Jessica gushed about her sons birth, and cant wait for whats next.

I didnt grow up with a brother and I think the unknown is really exciting, she said. I cant wait to have that connection with our little man.
